Extension in Chichester

For this project, we were tasked with creating a fabulous new open plan living space, with further conversion of the existing downstairs floor plan.  The first stage was to demolish the existing conservatory and a small building which had been previously converted from an old coal shed to a downstairs toilet.  Once the demolition was complete, we started with the foundations for the new extension.  We wanted to create plenty of light so installed a flat roof lantern, which allows light to flow into the adjoining rooms.

With the extension complete, we installed a new kitchen with an island and transformed the new extension into a beautiful open plan kitchen/ diner.  We then moved on to the rest of the downstairs, converting the old kitchen space into a new office, utility and downstairs toilet.  The lounge area also had a complete revamp where we removed the existing fireplace and stone features and really opened up the space available.  With walls and ceilings skimmed and painted throughout, and a new floor laid throughout the downstairs of the house, this project was almost complete!

The finishing touch was the back garden where we installed a new patio surrounding the new extension, and new fences on all sides of the back garden.  We then laid new turf, and a patio for outdoor dining/ seating.

The end result of this project was a real success, and the space has been transformed into a beautiful family home, ideal for everything life throws at it!

Landscaping in Chichester

This project started as a basic grass garden, positioned on a slope.  Our task for this job was first to create a level garden space, in beautiful surroundings with a seating area and summer house.

First we had to level the site by reducing the ground level to create an even and level surface.  Once complete, we laid new Indian Sandstone Paving in a random pattern to create a large patio, path and paved area surrounding what would soon be the new summer house!

We then set to work on 2 new decking areas- one each of the new path.  These we all handmade, so fit perfectly in the new space!  We then handmade some new wood trellis to section the garden nicely and create a feature ready for all the new plants this customer had planned!

Next job was to lay the new turf, cutting each piece perfectly to size around the new path.  We left this site prepped and ready for our green fingered customer to enjoy planting all her lovely new flower beds!  Oscar was so proud of this one, he even positioned himself for a photo opportunity!

Structural Alterations & Conservatory in Portsmouth

For this project we were asked to convert an old extension into a new conservatory.  We were also asked to make changes to the existing layout of the house, involving complex steel beams to support this new open plan living space.

The first stage was to remove all of the load bearing walls which had been earmarked for demolition!  We then installed all of the new steel supports which had been calculated by our structural engineers.

Our next job was to install a glass roof, along with sliding bi fold doors to create the new conservatory room.  We then completed all the other internal works including plumbing, tiling, plastering and decoration.

The finished project delivered the ideal living arrangements for this couple.  Beautiful open plan living, and as with many of our other projects delivered on time and importantly- on budget!

New Brick Wall in Felpham

Originally, this property was surrounded by bushes and fencing.  Our task was to swap this for a new wall structure to give a much nicer finish which would be very low maintenance!

Step one was to remove all of the exiting fencing and the surrounding bushes so that we could make a start on digging the foundations for the new wall.

Once this was complete we started to build the new brick walls and the brick piers.  We then hand made the fencing between each pier to create a beautiful modern finish.

The side wall was a solid structure, which was then rendered on the external side, with a brick finish on the inside which gave a lovely decorative finish.

This customer was thrilled with their new, secure boundary wall and recommended us to many of their friends!

Garage Conversion in Chichester

This customer wanted to create an additional room in there house so asked us to transform their existing garage into a habitable room for them to use.

Job number one was to remove the garage door and brick up the opening, matching the bricks with the existing house walls and installing new a window.

Once we had created a watertight shell, we worked on the interior room creating a new doorway into the house and finishing the inside ready for this customer to start using this fabulous new space!
